After a one week turn around and one week being named in the side. We had one training before it was Game Day on the Sunday. I was super pumped and ready to get out there against the schools side. Unfortunately today wasn't quite our day and we ended up putting in a good effort for a 17-0 loss. I managed to play just over half the game (due to equal game time requirements) and played pretty well. I nearly made a linebreak against some extremely well drilled defense and otherwise performed at the standard of which was required. The team put in a gutsy effort against some very well drilled and extremely talented players and I was extremely happy with the way I played against the top caalibre players in the year above.

This team was picked and within a week we were to play our one and only game. We became a very close bunch of guys and I secured the starting 9 positions from the trials. We defeated country 24-17 and I was able to score a try and set up two others. I had many positive inputs into the game and enjoyed playing with a bunch of guys I had never met before.

Moving into the side as a 16 year old late in the season was a tough transition but I adapted to the increased pace and collisions in the game with 20 year olds. To add to the challenge I was playing a position I had never played before at Flyhalf. I performed very well in my short time in the end of the season. Scoring 3 tries in 3 consecutive games and one of them being the game sealer to win our first game of the season again Northern Suburbs. I had to adapt to a new position at 10 and learnt a lot about the position. I thoroughly enjoyed playing older boys and gave me more of a challenge. I was lucky enough to be playing well that I had the opportunity to run on and make a positive impact in the 1st colts team against Warringah, Penrith and Gordon.
